Infant & Children's Caskets

1. Materials used are similar to, or the same as adult caskets 2. Dimensions Vary 3. Sizes increase in increments of 6 inches in length 4. Widths are proportional to the length. i.e. you don't have to remember any dimensions for width)

Urn Side

A casket design in which the body panels display the shape of an urn

A casket having eight angles or corners and therefore has eight sides or body panels

Elliptic

A casket having ends in the shape of a half-circle

Flaring Square

A casket shell design in which the sides and ends of the casket body flare out from the bottom to the top; a casket shell design that is narrower and shorter at the bottom than at the opening of the top Width of casket increases as flaring side comes upward

Casket Liner

A removable metal unit that is placed inside a wooden casket shell to provide protective qualities

Outer Burial Container

Any container, which is designed for, placement in the grave around the casket including, but not limited to, containers commonly known as burial vaults, grave boxes and grave liners.

Casket where the body is viewed from the body's left side instead of the usual right

Casket Sizes

Measurements stated according to inside dimensions and vary between manufacturers. Average Adult Metal Casket Interior: 78 Inches X 23 Inches or 10' 6" X 23 Average Adult Wood Casket Interior: 75 Inches X 22 Inches or 6' 3" X 22 These measurements assure the deceased will fit comfortably. Normal outside measurements so the casket will fit into the outer enclosure, 7' 3" X 29 inches

Hermetically Sealed

air tight; impervious to external influences; completely sealed by fusion or soldering
