(3-5) what causes job satisfaction? For most people, is pay or the work itself more important?

Interdependence, feedback, social support, and interaction with co-workers outside the workplace are strongly related to job satisfaction. Pay is more important at first until you keep making a certain amount than it isn't that satisfying and work is more important.

(3-4) how do we measure job satisfaction?

One is a response to one question, how satisfied are you with your job? Two the summation of job facets are identifying key elements in job such as nature of work, supervision, present pay, promotion opportunities and relationships with co-workers.

(3-3) what are the major job attitudes? In what ways are these attitudes alike? What is unique about each?

The major job attitudes are job satisfaction, job involvement, and organizational commitment. They are all alike by either really liking their job or really hating it. Job satisfaction describes a positive feeling about a job. Job involvement measures the degree to which people identify with their jobs and check their importance to self worth. Organizational commitment employee identifies with a particular organization and its goals and wishes to stay in organization.

(3-1) what are the main components of attitude? Are these components related or unrelated

The three components are cognitive, affective, and behavioral. These are all related. Cognitive is "my pay is low", stating the way things are. Affective is "I am angry over how little im paid". Behavioral is "im going to look for a new job that pays better".

(3-2) does behavior always follow from attitudes? Why or why not? Discuss the factors that affect whether behavior follows from attitudes

Yes is does because the attitude you will lead to the behavior you portray. The factors that affect this cognitive dissonance which is any incompatibility an individual might perceive between two or more attitudes or between behavior and attitudes
