5. What are your hobbies and things that you like to do?

As I mentioned briefly before, I absolutely love browsing through social media (instagram specifically) and looking at all the new fashion trends (especially handbags)! I also love reading fashion magazines like vogue, glamour, etc.I also love photography and trying out new recipes when I cook as well as reading fashion blogs, like the chriselle factor (chriselle lim) and song of style.

9. What is your open availability?

Currently I am available Mondays-Fridays, including holidays and weekends. However I already have a planned trip back to asia from April 4th to April 19th. After that I am available mostly everyday.

What does customer service mean to you?

Customer service is all about making the customers happy so that they can keep coming back to Nordstrom to shop. Its about listening to the customer, helping customer by showing and selecting the best pieces, and answering any questions they might have for a certain product.

14. What is good customer service?

Good customer service is always being there for the customers no matter what. Once they walk into the store or department you greet them, make them feel good, and assist them with any help, questions or concerns they have.

Greet any and all guests warmly to provide a welcoming environment and follow up with customers to make sure everything worked out well

6. How did you find out about this position?

I always had a desire to work at Nordstrom, so I decided to go online and see if there were any positions available and applied.

What is your strong points?

I am a fast learner and a multitasker. Throughout my experience at CDS Global, I was able to simultaneously talk with customers while distributing samples. And through graduate school I had to multitask and learn large amounts of material in relatively short time.

13. What is your strong points?

I am a fast learner. So If you teach me something new, I will understand it right away! I work at a fast pace and I am efficient.

3. Where do you work now? And what are your responsibilities?

I currently work for my self as a seller on Poshmark. I always interact with my customers who are interested in the products that I have to offer. Whenever a customer has a question for me about (for example, this handbag), I always provide the best answers to him/her. A few years ago I also worked as a sales consultant for CDS GLOBAl, a company that promotes and sales products in a busy, retail environment. As a sales consultant for CDS GLOBAL, I constantly talk to my customers and people who visit the store on a daily basis. The job required me to multitask by demoing products and explaining benefits of each product that I was sampling. Every day I had a sales goal to meet during my shift and I acommplished that by providing the best customer service to everyone that goes to the store.

2. Why would you like to work here?

I feel like Nordstrom would be a great place for me to gain experience because I love the style of acessories/handbags you have to offer (longchamp, tory burch, rebecca minkoff, kate spade, etc) . I would also fit in with the Nordstrom culture, which is committed to providing great customer experience to buyers. Nordstrom is a great place to work because customer service always comes first.

8. Why did you leave your job?

I had to leave my sales consultant job with CDS Global because it was a temporary job and I had to start graduate school that fall.

11. Why should we hire you?

I would be a excellent fit at Nordstrom, because I have great taste and knowledge in clothing and I can definitely bring that to my work. And I also have a very outgoing personality and I love working with customers.

What would you do if you didn't meet your daily sales goal?

I would try my best to talk to every customer and try to not only sell in my department but cross sell as well.

7. What department are you interested in at Nordstrom?

I'm primarily interested in the acessories/handbags department because I love the styles that they have in the department and also because I find myself browsing/shopping more in that department.

10. What is your weakness?

My weakness is letting my stress get the best of me. Sometimes I am stressed about school and family problems it affects how I work. When it is personal stress, I have learned to recover my weakness by taking short breaks alone and remind myself to not let my personal problems get the best of me and separate it from work. If it's work related stress, I think about all the steps I can do to help me fix problems so I can tackle the problems one by one.

12. How do you handle stress?

Since I have experience working in a very busy retail environment, I was able to handle stress by staying calm and during breaks I would meditate for 2-3 minutes.

Well I am currently a student at Rutgers University. I went there to obtain my masters in biomedical sciences and also have a bachelors in visual studies. I like to live a very active lifestyle I don't like to sit around doing nothing. I like working out, photography, and cooking!! I also have a passion for fashion. I always find myself browsing through instagram looking at the hottest and latest fashion trends from acessories all the way to clothing trends! I absolutely love how fashion style changes per year and always thrilled to see the new styles!

4. What do you like about the Nordstrom company?

When I walk into Nordstrom, the atmosphere is always extremely friendly and people are always asking if you need any help or assistance. Nordstrom always puts their customers first and provides the best customer service, always asking if I need help everytime I enter the store.
