Distributive Property
7(2 + 8) = 7(2) + 7(8)
Inverse Property of Multiplication
For each nonzero real number a, there is a single real number 1/a such that; 6x1/6=1 and 1/6x6=1
Inverse Property of Addition
For each real number a, there is a single real number -a such that; 8+(-8)=0 and (-8)+8=0
Identity Property of Addition
There is a real number 0 such that; 9+0=9 and 0+9=9
Identity Property of Multiplication
This is a real number such that; 5x1=5 and 1x5=5.
Commutative Property
you can add or multiply numbers in any order. example: 2+4=4+2; 2x4=4x2
Associative Property
Commutative Property with grouping. Example: (5+3)+1= 5+(3+1); (5)(3)1= 5(3)(1)
