Increasing diagnostic filtration from 2.5mm to 3.5mm will have what effect on the x-ray beam:
Decreased intensity (intensity refers to the total number of x-ray photons in the beam, filtration takes photons out of the beam, increase in filtration results in more photons being taken out of the beam decreasing intensity)
X-ray exposure that results in a receptor exposure BELOW the level of the dynamic range, results in:
quantum mottle (below dynamic range does not give the detector enough information to create a quality image, the result is quantum mottle (noise) gives blotchy and pixelated appearance)
