D-03 Establishing Operations EO

A condition of deprivation or aversion that temporarily alters (improves) the effectiveness or value of a certain reinforcer. Gas light is an EO that increases the value of the gas station as an rf.

D-03 Abolishing Operations AO

A condition of satiation that temporarily alters (reduces) the effectiveness or a value of a certain reinforcer. Full tank of gas is an AO that decreases the value of the gas station as rf.

D-02 Describe the common Function of BX

Attention Escape/Avoidance Access/Tangible Automatic

F-04 Methods to maintain professional boundaries

Avoid Dual Relationships -RBT should not work with families that they have outside connection/relation with. Avoid Conflicts of Interest -Do not accept gifts or other positions offered by client. Establish Clear Boundaries -Do not add clients on social media (or post) -Communication should only take place between 8am and 5 pm

D-05 Escape Extinction

Child does not get to avoid or escape the non-preferred stimulus when engaging in the target behavior.

D-05 Tangible Extinction

Child does not receive access to the desired item or activity when engaging in the target behavior.

E-02 Objective session notes

Client Initials Date Reinforcers for the day Bx Data Programs/skills worked on 2 signatures: Guardian and BT

F-03 Explain how to communicate with stakeholders as authorized

Communication at the start of session -Ask how the client's day/previous day was or if there is anything new we should be aware of. -Confirm pick-up/end time Communication at the end of session -Objective, observable & Measurable -What programs were worked on, progress towards goals -Anything new Communication at any other time should be schedule related

F-02 Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve

Constructive Feedback Will Be Delivered Throughout Training, Assessment & Employment -Ask questions -Check for understanding -Apply the feedback

E-05 Describe applicable legal, regulatory and workplace requirements for data collection, storage and transportation

Data Collection -Data should be accurate -The following should be completed for each session: -Session Note, Daily Data Sheet, Graphing Data Storage -Kept for 7 years, behind 2 locks Data transportation -2 locks

D-04 Activity Your client shouts "COME HERE!" whenever they have finished their assignment. How could DRA be used for this challenging behavior?

I can tell the child to raise his hands when he is finished with an assignment. Next time he finishes, he can raise his hand and the teacher will acknowledge him by going to his seat.

F-01 Describe the role of the RBT in the service delivery system

Implement Behavior Reduction & Skill Acquisition Plan -Goals and all programming should be implemented as written Communicate With Caregivers & Direct Treatment Team Collect Data Train caregivers and new staff (under the supervision of a BCBA)

D-06 Implement crisis/Emergency procedures according to protocol= In home

In home: -Block access to preferred or hazardous items -Call for caregiver to be present -Follow behavior reduction plan -Once calm, redirect to a neutral activity -Fill out incident report and submit to BCBA

D-06 Implement crisis/Emergency procedures according to protocol= In center

In-Center: -State safety word "marshmallow" in a loud firm voice. -Follow behavior reduction plan as written -Fill out an incident report and submit to BCBA

E-04 Describe applicable, legal, regulatory and workplace reporting requirements

Mandatory Reporters -Evidence or suspicion of abuse or neglect should be reported to your supervisor immediately.

D-03 Implement interventions based on modification of Antecedents such as motivation/establishing operations and discriminative stimuli

Motivation Operations MO-Environmental variables that alter the effectiveness of a stimulus as a reinforcer, and alter current frequency of all behavior that has been reinforced by the stimulus. -Abolishing Operation (AO) Establishing Operation (EO) Discriminative Stimuli- A particular response will be reinforced

E-01 Report other variables that might affect a client How to report

Notify BCBA/Supervisor. Document on session note.

E-01 Report other variables that might affect a client

Potential variables: Lack of sleep Hunger Medication Location/Schedule

D-04 Differential reinforcement of Other Bx (DRO)

Reinforcement is delivered on a schedule, only when the problem bx has NOT occurred after the predetermined length of time. EXAMPLE: Your client repeatedly attempts to talk to peers during independent work. The BCBA may tell you to deliver a small piece of edible and behavior specific praise for every 2 minutes that your client does not engage in talking to peers during independent work

D-05 Extinction

Reinforcement is withheld for a behavior that has previously been reinforced, as a result, the future frequency of the behavior decreases.

D-01 The essential components of a written bx reduction plan

Target bx and its operational definition. How to measure the bx Function of the bx Known antecedent Antecedent Consequence

E-03 Effectively communicate with supervisor

Type of Language? -Objective, factual, respectful Forms of communication? -Meeting, email, phone call, text

D-04 Differential Reinforcement of Alternative Behavior (DRA)

deliver reinforcement when a desirable replacement bx (must have the same function) occurs.
