The hyoid bone serves as the foundation for many tongue muscles and other muscles that help you swallow. The middle ear bones are the smallest in the body and the help link the eardrum and the cochlea, and in turn, helping you hear.

The major bones of the head are the cranium, sinuses, hyoid, and facial skeletons. The major bones of the Chest are the thoracic cage, the sternum, and the ribs.

The two broad divisions of the skeleton are the axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton.
