How is Rapa Nui an example of unsustainable practices?

They used massive amounts of wood for housing, fuel (fires), and as a way of transporting items, leading to deforestation. The trees that were left did not have enough nutrients and many died because of this, eventually destroying the habitats of many of the things people there ate. Eventually they had to learn to survive off of rat meat, and survived for a long period of time with very little resources.

Sustainable development

Use of environmental resources to ensure their availability for future generations
