the 4 ventricles of brain
third ventricle
-a cavity within the diencephalon (deep brain).
4 Ventricles (spaces)
-are fluid-filled cavities within the brain. -They are filled with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and lined by ependymal cells.
The aqueduct of the midbrain
-connects the third ventricle with the fourth ventricle
two lateral ventricles
-each superior to the brain stem and lateral to each other. -There is no direct connection between the, two but each communicates with each other through an interventricular foramen called Foramen of Monro.
fourth ventricle
-located in the inferior portion of the medulla oblongata -narrows to a single, midline Foramen of Magendie. -These becomes continuous with the central canal of the spinal cord.
