They had other city-states competing against them. And they fought against each other.
What was expected of the nobility in the Renaissance society?
They had to serve the lords in power in their location. They were also patrons to the arts.
How were the lives of burghers and workers similar.
They were both in the middle class.
Describe the lives of the urban upper class in Renaissance society.
They were rich and they usually were merchants, they could live in nicer neighborhoods.
