It forms at conception and continues to develop for the first two weeks and at the end of it the placenta begins to develop !
What are the effects of cigarettes on a fetus ?
Low birth weight, and can even develop cancer in childhood, and death
What happens during the embryonic period?
All body parts begin to develop for ex: The heart will begin to pump blood through the cardiovascular system
Why should a mother consult a doctor before taking any medication?
Almost all medication that are taken by the mother, even caffeine can reach the embryo or fetus through the bloodstream .

Children with a FASD can have various mental and physical problems such as low intensene
What happens during the fetal period ?
Begins at 9 weeks and continues through birth in the beginning of the fetus period, organs, muscles, and nervous system start to organize.
