Ventricles & Central Canal

Ventricles:

Expansion of brain central cavity, filled with cerebrospinal fluid continue one another and eventually the central cavity of spinal cord.

Fourth ventricle:

brain stem; connects to medulla and spinal cord

Central canal:

cavity within the spinal cord that contains CSF

Lateral (1st & 2nd) ventricles are the:

cerebral hemispheres

Third ventricle:

diencephalon

Cerebral aqueduct:

midbrain; connect 3rd & 4th ventricles
