A successful team with acquaintances. If we are considered successful and we're just acquaintances, then there is a lot of room for growth once we all connect on a deeper level. There could be strengths that have yet to unfold in some of the team members and opportunities for everyone to learn and use each others skills.

Alone, intuition can be the result of many errors, I've found the combination of intuition and rational analysis produces well-rounded decisions by approaching an issue from various angles. But I can confidently make a decision intuitively.

Describe a time you went above and beyond?

As a Senior baseball player, I went out of my way to offer help to the Freshman players 30 minutes before practice work on polishing their skills. This reminded of how hungry I was to succeed as on the field as a Freshman and this actually brought and extra level of intensity to myself as a Senior.

At my first job, I signed up for an overload of duties and offered to take on some roles that my colleagues were assigned specially for this booster event, and it ended up being more time consuming than I thought, which put me in a tough position. After the situation, I re-assed and always remembered to prioritize my responsibilities first.

How do you gain buy-in from coworkers when it comes to delivering quality work?

Buy in by leading by example. When coworkers see my giving everything I have into a specific project, this lets them know how much it means to me to perform well for our group and company.

Tell me about a time when you did not meet a clients' expectations.

Client not happy with results after a month with his marketing campaign for his business. Ended up enhancing his package and aggressiveness. Communicated with him closely for the next few months to make sure this new plan was yielding results, and luckily it had benefited him and his business greatly.

What does integrity mean to you?

Doing the right thing, always no matter the circumstance, especially when no one is watching. I try to approach every important decision in my life based on how the result will affect the community, company, and environment.

How do you organize your day?

Every Sunday, I lay out a plan for the week. For some tasks I allot myself more time then needed so that if I complete a task early, this allows add on additional tasks. Additionally, at the end of my days I re-asses to see if any adjustments need to be made for the following day.

How important is it to you to be the best?

Extremely. It is very important for me to be the best I can be in every aspect of my life, including being the best person, best teammate, best friend, and best family member. I know there is no such thing as perfection, but I am always striving to meet that.

I adapt my style to the position I'm in. When a group needs a leader, I gladly adapt to that role, but at the entry level, I know that there is a lot that I need to learn, and I am happy to take direction from those with more knowledge and a better sense of the overall picture.

If you could change your personality at the snap of your fingers what would it be and why?

I am somewhat of a perfectionist and this causes me to work a lot so I rarely take time for myself, but this usually works in my favor because I am detail oriented and I know my work is done correctly.

I believe in working hard to leave the community, organization, and group of people better than I found it or them.

How do you know if you're doing a good job?

I believe there are always aspects that I can improve on, but in the workplace, I think I am doing a good job when I have effectively and efficiently performed the duties that I had set out to complete prior to that particular day.

What is a bad day to you?

I don't get this very often. But when I have in the past, it's because I failed to define my goals for the day. However, on the rare occasion when I do, I usually get up and go for a quick walk to get my blood flowing and re- assess my plan of action for the remainder of the day.

What is your greatest weakness?

I don't like to dwell on weaknesses, however, I would say that my weakness is being too strong minded. Sometimes, I would have the ability to solve problems quicker by asking more questions. Taking the time to solely solve every issue autonomously that arises in the workplace could prevent me from solving additional problems that arise.

I don't really believe in rejection and I don't take no for an answer.

If you could change one thing about the way you approach challenges, what would it be?

I have high expectations for myself and one thing I can work on is asking more questions and instead of spending time researching the answer myself.

Have you ever been a part of an organization that has been through a merger or acquisition?

I have no direct experience with that but I am always open to new processes and I believe that acquisitions are a sign of a strong organization I would like to be a part of.

Do you prefer a slow, medium, or fast paced environment and why?

I have the ability to work in any environment. I thrive with fast-paced environments- I find them energizing and invigorating. I like to take on a lot of projects at once and manage my time effectively while staying flexible and organized.

Explain how you have dealt with an unproductive team member?

I have the mindset of getting the work done at any cost. We're part of a team and if someone needs to do the work I'll gladly step up and get it finished. With that being said I'll definitely address the situation and make sure that everything is okay with the unproductive team member.

Tell me something that is not on your resume?

I love theater. Since I was young I have always enjoyed attending plays. I'll always remember seeing the Newsies on Broadway with my family when I was 17.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself as an experienced Territory Manager for Zoll Medical. I also picture myself constantly building my network and cultivating new relationships with physicians and colleagues to better my capabilities from a professional standpoint. I also see myself as a Presidents Club Rep.

Are you a logical thinker or do you think outside the box?

I tend to think outside the box. I am a rational thinker, but I am intuitive and can make a decision quickly, confident and effectively.

When did you first know sales was for you?

I've always been results oriented. My dad always said he knew I was going to be in sales when I was 10 years old, because I wouldn't stop at anything until someone would say yes. I wanted to go to a yankees game for years, and every day I would ask my dad if he would take me to a yankees baseball game, and I wouldn't leave him alone until I closed the deal and I watched him buy the baseball tickets for us. I like to influence people, and when I first started working at the age of 15 I knew I was going to be in sales because of my rapid ability to capitalize on an opportunity to help someone find a solution, I always have the mindset that I can help.

Tell me about a professional experience when you felt really uncomfortable in your role?

In a previous job, I overheard 2 male colleagues talking inappropriately about a female colleague of mine. Rather than getting a manager involved, I confronted them directly. They were very apologetic and ultimately appreciated the fact that I brought the situation about.

Tell me about a time you had to fill in for someone. Were you successful. How did the experience feel?

In a previous position, one Saturday morning, a client service representative called out sick and no one else was able to fill his role. Although outside of my role, after receiving the call, I came into work for his shift. I had used the software before, so I was familiar with how it worked and I like engaging with new clients so it was exciting to view the day-to-day operations from a different vantage point. I was successful, all of the clients were happy and no one was left short-handed.

Tell me about a time you acted as a leader without first being asked-

In a previous role, there was a couple of week span where there were a lot of moving parts within the company and our manager was forced to facilitate a different location due to the reconstruction. There were about 8 of us on the team. After the first few weeks, I realized that our team wasn't getting together to discuss our work in progress. The previous manager was the facilitator of that. So I decided to step in and schedule a meeting where we could all discuss our work. It was a moment where I don't think we consciously realized how important those meetings were for our team. And everyone was appreciative of the fact that I recalled those meetings and made sure we kept doing them.x

Describe a situation in which you had to arrive at a compromise or help others compromise.

In a work meeting a few months ago, I presented team with a new approach that I had created to push additional services that our company provides onto our current clients. After presenting this, most of the group gave feedback that this approach might be too aggressive and put relationships with these current clients at risk. I valued the feedback and created a less aggressive plan, which is something that we have continued to implement to this day.

Most successful project?

In an EXSS class, I had the opportunity through a classmate to get in touch community outreach, and I ended up suggesting the idea to my collegiate baseball coach, and because of my suggestion, our team ended up building a house for a less fortunate family in Durham, NC. The baseball team actually continues to do similar projects today.

Do you ever outperform others? Tell me a time that demonstrates this?

In an MBA course, I had a management class in which our assignment was to write an analysis on the difference between operational effectiveness and strategic positioning. My professor was so intrigued by my analysis that he asked if he could share it with other students to help further their understanding of the two concepts.

Name an instance where you thought outside of the box?

In my last job, the head of one of our corporate sponsors approached me and asked if they could be the cheif sponsor at one of our upcoming events. Knowing that we had already agreed to allow one of our other sponsors to take this role, so I knew that I need to act swiftly and keep this sponsor satisfied. Without hesitation, I mentioned that we were already booked for that event, but offered them a chief sponsor position at a different event just a couple weekend after. They were satisfied and generated excellent exposure from the affair.

When is it okay to cut corners?

In my opinion, it's never okay to cut corners. It is okay to re prioritize tasks if another project comes up that is more important. Agile Methodology

What drives you in your personal life?

Knowing that I am helping others- friends, family, strangers. I want to help people and be an outlet/resource that can help empower them and guide their way into thinking how they can overcome something.

Knowing that I am making a difference in the life of someone else. Specifically with my current job, knowing that I am helping small business owners expand their business with assisting their online presence and exposure.

Name for me one task in your current job that you wish you could perform more often.

Meeting clients face to face. There are many clients that I work with who reside near our company office, but there are also some in which we solely communicate via phone call and zoom. Even though meeting virtually is becoming more prevalent with today's COVID society, I always enjoy having face to face interaction to express my true and genuine personality.

Describe a stressful situation and how you dealt with it-

Money order situation with apartment. Debit card wasn't working and was of course unable to pull cash out of a credit card. Was a Saturday so could not go to a bank, was able to get in touch with American Express and they gave me a pin so that I could use that Credit Card at an ATM machine to pull out cash for the money order.

What are your long-term goals?

My long term goal is to become a Sales Director at Zoll Medical. I plan on achieving that managing my own territory and a small team of individuals within the next couple of years and moving into a regional sales role after that.

How would you describe your work style?

My work style revolves around efficiency. I think having attention to detail and giving full focus on the task at hand sets myself up for success.

What are your greatest strengths?

Not being afraid to fail. Not only a strength but also an outlook that has positively impacted me in all aspects of my life. Not afraid to show any signs of weakness. There is always something to learn from every experience even if it doesn't go the way that I thought it would.

Tell me something you have taught yourself in the last 6 months?

On a personal level, I have taught myself how to play the guitar. My roommate and I make a point to play at least 15 minutes every night. On a professional level, I taught myself how to use a CRM system. I did this by taking training classes through the software and by creating a manual with useful notes to pass onto future individuals who use the platform.

Give an example when you showed integrity on the job and in your personal life-

On job: In a previous position my team and I were working on a project that didn't need to be completed for 2 weeks. On this particular Friday, my manager had to attend to a medical emergency that her child was enduring and left the office at 11am for the rest of the day. Most of my team decided to leave after lunch, but I along with a few I had convinced to stay, ended up working on the project past hours given the extra help we had lost. On Monday, our manager was very appreciative of the progress that we had made and our project was completed on time Personal Life: A recent time I showed integrity was at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago. When returning home and looking at the receipt, I had noticed that the self checkout machine must had not registered the vegetables that I had bought. Even though the store is a 15 minute walk away, I immediately walked back and paid for the food that had not been registered.

Organized, adaptable, and autonomous.

Define success-

Success to me means meeting a defined set of expectations, not only that a company has laid out for me, but also what I have laid out for myself.

Walk me through your morning routine-

The first thing I do is make my bed. Afterwards, while I am eating my breakfast I will look over the agenda for the day that I had made the night prior. On the way to work, I generally enjoy listening to a podcast called, "The Daily", which discusses current event in the world.

Describe your favorite boss and what made them your favorite?

This particular boss and I had a great relationship. We actually still keep in touch here and there, and what he needed was exactly what I had, which was that rapid ability to identify a situation and act on the opportunity.

Provide an example of how past experiences have prepared you for this role?

This role requires an influencer that is autonomous, organized, flexible, excellent at communicating, and a problem solver. One experience that proves I have all of these qualities was when I moved to Lubbock, Texas to start these first opening in the role of a season ticket operator. I was also taking business graduate classes during this time as a full time student while I was managing and directing this department, showcasing my time-management, flexibility and organization skills.

What steps have you taken this year to encourage your professional development-

This year, I have taken the time to enhance my all-around professional skills outside of work hours. I have taken numerous sales development courses and personality tests to better understand myself and things that I need to improve on. This has heightened sales results and more leadership responsibilities that my manager has given me in my current role

What was a mistake you made? What did you learn from it?

When I first started working at the age of 15, I would talk too much to customers, I like engaging with people. I remember one instance I talked to a customer for 10 minutes after her order was prepared and not only did that hold up the line, but that resulted in the store closing 15 minutes later than normal. I felt terrible about it because it was my fault for spending too much time talking with the customer. I apologized to everyone and at the age of 15 I was able to take that instance and make sure when I talked to people in the future I was still able to engage, but the time allocated was appropriate.

What makes you uncomfortable?

When I see someone behaving in an unethical manner. I always act upon it. A few years ago I was in a store and I saw the college student stealing. I told an employee about the situation immediately and they called a security officer to come and address the situation.

Tell me a time you felt really successful?

When I was promoted to the Gold Closer team which meant that I was 1 of the 12 Top Account Executives in the company which is comprised of a total of 155 Account Executives.

Can you Keep a Promise? Explain an Example of this.

With a previous position, I was assigned to our second biggest client. During our first meeting, I promised them that I would be available any time and any place they needed me. A couple months later, this client called and explain that they needed an additional order needed shipped ASAP on top of their existing order. Got off phone with them, rushed home and scheduled this at their request. They were satisfied and mentioned mult. times after this event how much they trusted me.

When is a time you received constructive feedback?

With my current position, my manager mentioned that my conversations with potential clients were at times, being too stretched out. Even though personality is important in sales, this was preventing me from broadening my client base because too much time was being allocated to communication that wasn't constructive and related to our product.

How do you balance work and life?

Work always comes first. I am always working and even when I take a few moments to relax I'm still thinking about the next step and how to get ahead and improve business value.

Is it important to be liked?

Yes it is important to be liked. It's important to be trusted, respected and liked. It's important for relationship development, teamwork, efficiency, especially in a sales/management role.

Do you always have a plan? Tell me about your planning?

Yes, I always have a plan. A strategy with goals and means to get there always produces results. For me, the biggest contributor to my planning is time management. When I have a work deadline, I schedule out my time allocated to work on the project to conclude a day or 2 before the deadline so I have time to review.., fejbe

Do you usually seek out the leadership role? Describe a time when you did this-

Yes, I enjoy leading a team to achieving positive results. As a senior on my collegiate baseball team we had never had any team captains before. I approached my coach and recommended the idea. The team voted on who they thought best fit the role, and myself along with another player were selected. Ultimately, we held other team members accountable beyond just the coaching staff, and this led to success with us having our best season throughout my career.

Have you ever done a task repetitively until you mastered it?

Yes, I have. I have always wanted to learn how to juggle since I was young. A few months ago, one of my friends who is able to juggle tried teaching me one night but to no avail. This sparked my interest and I started to practice very frequently, and eventually after many failed attempts, I finally can say that I've mastered juggling.

Have you ever put your professional work ahead of your personal life?

Yes, I often do this because I consider my professional work to be a part of me and my personal life. I enjoy helping other people in the work setting and regardless of what those hours are, I will always put this priority first above anything else.

Do people come to you for answers and why?

Yes, I've always had an innate leadership ability. I like to help people and guide their way of thinking into new ideas they may not have considered. I'm reliable and I like to provide support. For instance, when I was working as a marketing rep during graduate school, the business owners would always ask me how they think we could generate new business. I would propose ideas like such as targeting a new market area, driving driving social media awareness, and getting involved with the university to create awareness. I began connecting with the presidents of some of the clubs on campus, and we had presentations to showcase our practice and drive awareness. The result was fantastic, and that alone resulted in a 10% increase in patients within the first month.

Do you trust others to do your work?

Yes, a culture of trust is important. And I also trust myself enough to know that I am effectively communicating the goals and I trust the company enough to ensure they are making the company's strategy visible to its employees.

Have you ever had to solve a technical situation? Elaborate.

Yes. During a time with an internship with a youth sports organization, our credit card machine broke down, which caused a giant hold up in the line of viewers who wanted to pay to see the game. In the interim I created a team venmo account to move the line along with viewers who didn't have cash. I read the manual and ended up solving the solution within 10-15 minutes of the technical difficulty. Yes. For example, at a previous position I emailed our National Director, who was located in a different state and set up a zoom meeting with him. In that meeting, I prepared questions to ask

Do you have a certain routine you live by?

Yes. Having a routine allows me to keep structure in my daily activities. Every night I review the plan that I had created on Sunday prior to the beginning of the week. I track the goals that I had set out for that particular week and carry over any necessary activities that weren't achieved to the next day. This allows me to reduce stress knowing that I have an organized written plan in place that I am keeping up.

Do you consider yourself someone direct and forthright with others? Explain?

Yes. I have always been someone who wants directness from others, so I make a point to do the same. Even if my comments aren't positive about a certain situation, it is important to be direct so that the issue can be resolved without any confusion.

Are you ever content at the end of the day?

Yes. I love to work. I am satisfied at the end of the day knowing I contributed to a bigger picture and mission. Some of the best days have been the ones where I work 14 hours. I feel extremely accomplished.
