Bose-Einstein Condensate (BEC)
Bose-Einstein condensate is a state of matter that is formed from matter that has been cooled to near absolute zero forming what is called the 'super atom'.
plasma
an energetic state of matter in which some or all of the electrons in the outer atomic orbitals have become separated from the atom forming ions.
solid
matter of definite shape and definite volume; retains a fixed volume and shape; particles are fixed; little free space between particles; particles locked into place but can vibrate
gas
matter of indefinite shape and indefinite volume; assumes the shape and volume of its container; lots of free space between particles; particles can move past one another
liquid
matter of indefinite shape but has a definite volume; assumes the shape of the part of the container which it occupies; little free space between particles; particles can move/slide past one another
