Notes from the source

Bibliography

A list of all the resources that you read when you are researching.

How is an annotated bibliography different than a works cited page?

A works cited page just lists the sources that you actually paraphrase or quote in your paper. Technically, you must read more sources than you actually use in your paper, so your bibliography could be longer than your works cited page. Also a works cited page doesn't contain annotations.

What is the purpose of an annotated bibliography?

An annotated bibliography helps you compile and organize all of the sources you came across as you research. The more organized you are, the less likely it is that you'll accidentally plagiarize.
