extensor carpi ulnaris m

This muscle is in the posterior compartment of the forearm. It is served by the radial nerve. It originates on the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, and more specifically one head from lateral epicondyle of the humerus, and the second head from the middle third of posterior ridge of the ulna. It inserts on the carpals or digits, and more specifically on the posterior surface of the base of the fifth metacarpal. It extends and adducts the wrist.
