In the video it state that logic is the anatomy of thinking. I think it is a way of thinking that gives you a framework for analyzing arguments, and it helps you think with correct reasoning.

There are three parts of an argument, the first part is "a series of statements". The second part is "at least one statement claims to support". The third part is "another statement". A statement means a declarative sentence that can be relatively proven true or false. A premise is a statement that provides support to the other statement. A conclusion is a statement that is technically not known yet, and based on the evidence provided, we infer that they are either true or false. Conclusions tell us something new.

This class is important because it teaches you how to think well and understand what good thinking is. It will teach us how to recognize our mistakes in thinking.
