1. New mobile homes can only be sold through mobile home dealers licensed by the Department of Housing and Community Development. 2. A real estate licensee can sell used mobile homes provided the mobile homes have already been registered with the state and are on a lot or in a mobile home park. 3. The mobile home must be capable of being transported over a road. The hitch must be attached to the unit or stored underneath, and the axles must still be attached to the frame. 4. The licensee is responsible to see that there is proper completion and delivery of the title to the buyer. 5. Notification of transfer of ownership must be made within 10 days of the sale date. 6. All fees must be paid to the state within 10 days of the sale date. 7. No concealment of a material fact or any other fraudulent act may be committed. 8. Mobile homeowners must pay an In Lieu Tax similar to regular property taxes paid by homeowners. 9. If the mobile home was manufactured after June 15, 1976, it must have a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) tag, guaranteeing its proper construction.
