Color is produced by wave length of light the balance of an object. All colors we can see in the visible spectrum. When you see black that means the absence of color because all wave lengths are being absorbed

How light to dark color is. There are three ways to change value, shade, tint, tone
Hue
Name of color in purest form example red, blue etc.
Chroma
Saturation of color: how much pigment it has, how Vivid or dull it is
