Definition: A buisness that has bought the right to use a parent company's name and methods, thus becoming one of a number of similar buisnesses in various locations Sentence: McDonald's has alot of franchises scattered across the world
Consumerism
Definition: A preoccupation with the purchasing of material goods Sentence: With more money to spend and an increased number of products to buy, Consumerism became an American way of life
Dr. Jonas Salk
Definition: The Doctor that developed the polio vaccine Sentence: Dr. Jonas Salk was known for his effective polio vaccine
Baby Boom
Definition: The Sharp Increase in the U.S birthrate following the World War II Sentence: The baby boom created 30 million babies after the world war II
Planned Obsolescence
Definition: the designing of products to wear out or to become outdated quickly, so that people will feel a need to replace their possesions frequently Sentence: The marketing strategy of Planned Obsolescence regers to designing products to wear our or become outdated in a short period of time.
