What were Backcountry, lowcountry, and upcountry?
Backcountry: Rural areas, traders, undeveloped, townships, woodsman, subsistence farming, low slave population, diverse, no justice system at first Lowcountry: plantations, heavy slave population near the coast, location of the capital, cash crops, trade, port city of Charleston, SC government was there Upcountry: settled developed version of the backcountry, northwest corner of where the cherokee used to live
How did the Ohio Valley become a source of resentment for American Colonist?
It became a source of resentment because Britain fell into deep debt they had to sign the Proclamation of 1763 which said the colonists couldn't be there.
How was the problem of crime in the backcountry finally addressed by the Colonial government?
It was addressed by the Circuit Court Act. This act created more courts, assigned sheriffs in the backcountry, and gave money to build new jails

Natives attacked the colonists because a long term of abuse, the natives couldn't fight anymore and signed a peace treaty

The British gained land in the Ohio Valley, east of the Mississippi, French Canada, and Spanish Florida. They spent a huge amount of money which caused them to be in debt this is what tainted them.
Who were the Moderators? What did they do?
The Moderators were a group formed to regulate the regulators. They prevented the Regulators from having too much power and going too far.
What was the Stono Rebellion, and what were the effects of its outcome?
The Stono Rebellion was the largest slave uprising in the colonies. The outcome was that the colonists formed a militia and fought in the uprising and all the slaves were either caught or killed.
Explain the process of mercantilism.
The colonies provide raw materials for the English to make into finished products and sell for profit. Benefited the mother country.
Explain the connection between the Seven Years' War and the French and Indian War.
They were connected because the part fought in North America was the French and Indian War.
