In Japan the militarists did not try to establish a new system of government. They wanted to restore traditional control of the government to the military.

The US and Japan came out of the war in better financial shape than before. WWI left every major European country nearly bankrupt.

The depression confronted democracies with serious challenges to their economic and political system.

The people were uncertain of wether to keep using democracy or to start using their ideas and be creative.

Escalation of war or aggression of the Axis Power. They also became more powerful.

Families were able to travel more for fun, cars were now affordable. Cars were easier for transportation, they were faster, and they were fun.

They showed how people and things worked and how their minds and ideas are still being used today. It's also the peoples perspective of how the world changed.

War debts and demands on American loans and investments.
5. Why did the leadership of many eastern European nations fall to dictators?
With no democratic experience and severe economic problems, many of the Europeans saw dictatorships as only to prevent instability.
