case sensitive

bandwidth

the speed at which information is transmitted' the higher the bandwidth - the faster the speed; bandwidth varies throughout the internet

bookmarks

the way browsers provide a way for users to easily record the URLs of sites that are frequently accessed

intranet

a private network, usually within a corporation that uses html-formatted documents and the TCP/IP

DSL

a system of marking up a document; adds tags to objects such as text or images that define the manager in which they should be displayed

Firewall

acts to block destructive forces; program or hardware device that works closely with a router program to filter the traffic both coming into and going out of a network or a private computer

computer malware

all forms of computer software designed by criminals specifically to damage or disrupt a computer system for a profit

ISP

organization that produces access to the internet

computer virus

small software programs that are designed to execute and replicate themselves without your knowledge
