Private browsing
A feature of all modern browsers that will delete your history, cache, and cookies the moment you close the private window.
Deactivate Client-side scripting
Because the script executes on the client machine (to be specific, within the web browser on the client machine), it's called a client-side script. To prevent scripts from running, you will need to download a script blocker from either the Windows Store or Chrome web store.
popup blocker
Either a program or a feature incorporated within a browser that stops popup advertisements from appearing.

Plugins, add-ons, toolbars, and extensions are all software components added to your browser to give it additional functionality.
cookies
Small text files that are sent to your computer from certain websites. They track your behavior and transactions. Privacy threats: can deliver personally identifiable information to a website and a virus or Trojan horse may copy a stored password from a cookie and deliver it to someone who can then steal your login information.
Caching
The local storage of frequently needed files that would otherwise be obtained from an external source. Clearing the cache deletes any cookies stored on the computer hard drive.
What is a script?
Web browsers work by downloading and displaying web pages, which are essentially programming scripts.
proxy server
a server that makes requests on behalf of other computers. Think of it as a gatekeeper for Internet access.

certificate has expired or has been stolen - warning will pop up when you visit the site.
