summary of Epiphany
The woman in Lucha's life gives her dolls even though she likes other activities. She prefers climbing trees and swinging on vines, but her greatest pleasure is reading. She is obsessed with the Arabian Nights story. Her obsession worried her parents in regard to her future. They dissuaded her from pursuing careers they believe will impair her ability to maintain a family. Later, she rediscovers literature and begins to write poetry that affects the course of her life.
