Should I be concerned if a college has a big sticker price?
No -- just because a college has a big sticker price or published price does not mean that you cannot attend. You may qualify for several types of financial aid that could allow it to work for you, so do not rule it out!
Why might I need to complete the FAFSA?
To learn what types of federal financial aid you are eligible for.
Who should NOT complete the FAFSA
Undocumented students are not eligible for federal financial aid, and should not complete the FAFSA. However, students may still be eligible for other forms of financial aid from other sources.
Are there deadlines for the FAFSA?
Yes! The FAFSA opens up October 1 each year. The general deadline for FAFSA is June 30. However, colleges and states have their own deadlines, so Fellows should always check their institution's financial aid deadlines. Some funds are available only on a first-come, first-serve basis, so completing the FAFSA early is highly recommended.
