Typically appointed to consider some knotty problem that the manager cannot resolve through ordinary pattern of consultation because it is too complex, too controversial, or too important to be handled in the regular way.

Policy making (primary duty). 5. Hiring the director and determining his/her duties, salary, etc. 6. Interpreting the services of the agency to the community. 6. Participating in community efforts.

What are the responsibilities of the staff and the Board?

1. To understand and have conviction about the purpose and function of the agency. 2. To be informed about services provided by the agency. 3. Provide environment suitable for rendering good service. 4. To work together to appraise agency output. 5. To have vision and imagination. 6. To work together with total community. 7. To obtain continuing education.

Ad Hoc Committee

Ordinarily appointed for some non-controversial, non-recurrent task such as drafting a statement or inspecting an item offered for sale.
