What is a Goal?

-A goal is not a dream, you can write it down and physically achieve it. -It also has an endpoint. -Increase the chance of achieving what you want. -Can be applied to anything in your life.

Measurable

How will you know you've met your goal? Good: I want to improve my push up score from five to fifteen. Bad: I want to have stronger arms.

Relevant

Is this what you want to do right now? Good-Pick something that you are interested in doing. Bad: Something you are NOT interested in doing.

Specific

Must be clear and geared for what you want. Good: I want to improve my mile time by thirty seconds. Bad: I want to get better at running.

Time Bound

Needs to have an end goal. Good-I want to be able to run a mile without stopping by the end of the semester. Bad-I want to be able to run a mile. No time=No motivation goal.

Attainable

Should be something that is possible to achieve. Good-I want to run a mile without stopping. I will do this by running everyday in PE and running one mile every weekend. Bad-I want to run a marathon next week without stopping.
