What Does Global Warming affect?

-Weather will be warmer in some areas of the earth, and colder in others. -Most populations of countries with a coastal region will move inward to avoid floods. -Many plants all over the world will dry up. -Animals living in the arctics like Seals and Polar bears are losing their homes because the ice is melting and other species are living in similar conditions. -Sea levels will rise intensively because of the arctic melting. -Crops will have to be grown in specific places because of temperatures and climate changing. -Many countries will suffer through a severe drought due to water evaporating.

What is the enhanced Greenhouse effect?

A group of greenhouse gases called the chlorofluorocarbons, have been used in aerosols, such as: - hairspray cans. -fridges . -in making foam plastics. - are found in small amounts in the atmosphere. - are dangerous greenhouse gases because small amounts can trap large amounts of heat.

Ozone hole

Every spring, a hole as big as the USA grows in the ozone layer over Antarctica, in the South Pole. A smaller hole develops each year over the Arctic, at the North Pole. And there are signs that the ozone layer is getting thinner all over the planet.

What Gases are Greenhouse Gases?

Greenhouse gases are the following: -water vapor (gaseous water). -carbon dioxide(burning trees). -methane(comes from when cattle digest food). -nitrous oxide(when plants dry and rot). -ozone (occurs naturally in the atmosphere).

What causes the Ozone Hole?

One group of gases that is particularly likely to damage the ozone layer is called CFCs, Chloro-Fluoro-Carbons. CFCs are used in some spray cans to force the contents out of the can. They are also used in refrigerators, air conditioning systems and some fire extinguishers. They are used because they are not poisonous and do not catch fire.

What is the Greenhouse Effect and Global warming?

The Greenhouse effect is when the heat goes up into space, Greenhouse Gases, block the heat going into space, and it goes back to earth. Global Warming is when the earth being overheated by Fossil fuels and Greenhouse gases causing Greenhouse effect.

Ozone Layer

The ozone layer is a layer that stops most of the sun's 'ultra-violet rays' (UV rays) getting through the earth. If the earth didn't have an ozone layer, too much UV can cause skin cancer and will also harm all plants and animals. Life on Earth could not exist without the protective shield of the ozone layer.

the ozone hole and our health

The ozone layer is like a sunscreen, and a thinning of it would mean that more ultra-violet rays would be reaching us. Too many UV rays would cause more sunburn, and because sunburn causes skin cancer, this too would increase deaths. These UV rays are also dangerous for our eyes and could cause an increase in people becoming blind.

The ozone hole on animals and plants

UV rays can go through water and kill plankton the start of the food chain in the ocean. UV rays will damage plants as well.

two faced ozone

when gas ozone is found near the surface it can be really bad for our health. This is caused by a reaction between pollution and sunlight, which creates smog.
