Definition: the facts that prove or disprove something. Example: Bob works as a policeman, who has a police uniform and ID as evidence he is a police officer.
Topic Sentence
Definition: the sentence that states the main idea of a text and usually comes at the beginning Example: If an author writes some non-fiction text about monkeys and the first sentence is: I love burritos!That is definitely off topic.That shouldn't be in there.It should be: I love monkeys!That is on topic.
