Paragraph four

Academics are important, but more homework doesn't mean smarter students however a good night's sleep does result in smarter kids. Having less homework may increase grades for when students take tests in the morning because they will be well rested. Good teaching and good lessons result in smarter kids. That's where kids should focus their energy-during the school day. Too much time spent on homework makes kids dread school. It can make kids have a poor attitude about school and that makes getting good grades harder.

Intro

Children spend seven hours at school and learn all day. Some kids have sports or activities after school. Kids can be exhausted after school and need more free time to do things besides study.

Paragraph three

Kids need time in the day to grow in other ways besides academics. Students need to be balanced and well-rounded. Some examples of what kids could do after school include, sports, exercise, recreation, and spending time with family. In Finland, students don't have extra homework and they are successful. In Finland, schools have a family-friendly approach. They also "spend more time playing outside, even in the depths of winter. Homework is minimal." It's important for kids to be balanced. Having less homework also gives kids the chance to serve others. This could mean helping a neighbor, walking the dog, or volunteering for community service. The 2013 Stanford University study said that kids who spend too much time on homework stop doing the things they like to do. They are "more likely to forgo activities, stop seeing friends or family, and not participate in hobbies." Kids need exercise and a chance to do the things they like so they can be well-rounded.

Conclusion

Many people think that a lot of homework is beneficial. It's not. Remember what I said earlier- it increases stress and makes kids stay up late. Too much homework isn't good for kids' health. Assigning less homework makes it possible for kids to accomplish their work and also learn to manage it on their own without parental supervision. Making the homework load lighter gives parents a sense of relief and it gives children a sense of accomplishment. A light homework load also gives children a chance to explore talents. In conclusion, too much homework should be stopped in the classrooms to prevent stress and angry parents.

Paragraph two

Science shows that homework can increase stress and cause tiredness. If kids have stress they could have a bad day the next day or not be able to learn. If kids don't understand the lesson they can get in trouble or get detention for not doing the lesson. If they don't get a good nights sleep they can't have trouble concentrating the next day. Research from Stanford University states that kids who spend too much time on homework experience more stress and physical problems. Kids that get bad grades and detention become stressed and develop bad sleeping schedules. This also angers parents, which can cause more stress on the kids. Homework sometimes causes parents and children to argue over how and when it will get done. Sometimes parents get frustrated because they don't know how the kids are taught in their classrooms and they didn't learn the same methods. This adds to the stress. Kids stay up late trying to finish assignments and go to sleep emotionally exhausted.
