Fibula

Located at the proximal end of the fibula; a round subcutaneous projection that articulates with the lateral condyle of tibia

Head of fibula

Located at the distal end of the fibula; a rounded, subcutaneous projection that contributes to the ankle joint

Lateral malleolus

The lateral and medial enlargement found at the proximal end of the tibia; had surfaces for articulation with the lateral condyle of the femur and with the fibula

Medial and lateral condyle of tibia

Located at the distal end of the tibia; a rounded subcutaneous projection that contributes to the ankle joint

Medial malleolus

The bone that sits on the top of the 2 articular facets for femoral condyles; triangular seasons bone that forms the knee joint when with the femur and tibia

Patella

The long bone between the knee and ankle joint; includes medial and lateral condyles, medial and lateral plateaus, tuberosity, shaft, and medial malleolus

Tibia

Located at the anterior proximal part of the shaft in the tibia; a bony elevation

Tibial tuberosity

A sharp subcutaneous crest on the anterior surface of the tibia that descends from the tibial tuberosity

Anterior border of tibia

The pointed inferior part of the patella

Apex of patella

The broad, superior portion of the patella
