Economic and Social Council
1. It is the central forum for examining international economic and social issues, and for preparing policy recommendations addressed to member states and the rest of United Nations system. Also it serves as the central mechanism for the activities of the United Nations system and its specialized agencies, and supervises the subsidiary and expert bodies in the economic, social and environmental fields.
The UN Convention on the carriage of goods by sea
1. The Convention establishes a uniform legal regime governing the rights and obligations of shippers, carriers and consignees under a contract of carriage of goods by sea. The Convention entered into force on 1 November 1992.
The International Court of Justice
1. The Court's role is to settle, in accordance with international law, legal disputes submitted to it by States and to give advisory opinions on legal questions referred to it by authorized by the United Nations and its specialized agencies. The Court is made of 15 judges selected by the United Nations General Assembly and the Security Council.

The Security Council
1. This council's top responsibility is to maintain international peace and security across the world. It has 15 Members, and each Member has one vote all Member States are obligated to comply with Council decisions and make sure they are executed.
The UN Commission of International Trade Law
1. United Nations-sponsored commission that seeks to create a forum for countries to come together and set international trade law standards. The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) meets annually to discuss matters of international trade, with meetings alternating between Austria and the United States.
The Secretariat
1. administers and coordinates the activities of the United Nations. It is headed by the UN secretary general. FCPA- Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
A United States law passed in 1977 which prohibits U.S. firms and individuals from paying bribes to foreign officials in furtherance of a business deal and against the foreign official's duties. The FCPA places no minimum amount for a punishment of a bribery payment. The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act also specifies required accounting transparency guidelines.

The purpose of The U.N. Sales Convention is to provide a modern, uniform and fair regime for contracts for the international sale of goods. The CISG contributes significantly to introducing belief in commercial exchanges and reducing transaction costs.

The World Trade Organization
the only international organization that deals with the global rules of trade between nations. The WTO is built on WTO agreements signed by the majority of the world's trading nations; its main function is to help producers of goods and services, exporters and importers better protect and manage their businesses. All major decisions are made by the membership as an entire organization, either by ministers who usually meet to make decisions every two years or by their ambassadors or delegates who meet regularly in Geneva, Switzerland. Decisions are normally taken by consensus.
