How do you evaluate success?

For me, success comes from knowing that I've contributed in a significant way to finishing a challenging team project within established deadlines and quality standards. For example, at SCAD, we are directing our first TV Pilot called What's After and my role takes place in the VFX Department. We have approximately 2 weeks to edit the whole show and keep the style of the show consistent. To create your key success measures, first examine your vision, mission, and core values for the outcomes that will lead to sustained organizational high performance.

Why do you want to work in TV?

In TV, you constantly meet new people and its all about being quick on your feet and remaining cool under pressure. These two experiences are what make me happy at the end of the day.

Why should we hire you?

You should hire me because you need someone like me that is passionate and understands the importance of golf as well as the work I have the experience and the attitude to excel as a Post Production Intern through my extensive background in golf and art. I have completed two internships that required me to utilize my close eye to detail to organize, assemble, and cut video sequences to ensure the scenes were delivered in a continuous and sequential story. I also used my knowledge in color correction to composite live green screen footage onto a still and/or motion background plate. I enjoy working independently on a project, but I love collaborating in a team environment even more, because this is where I am able to assist my fellow workmates with creative solutions and also learn from them to broaden my editing skills. In golf, my experience and love for the game has exposed me to many individuals with different cultural backgrounds. This exposed me to a variety of different perspectives and experiences that increased my creativity and ability to problem solve quickly to bring diverse solutions to the table.

what is the last book that you read?

What has been the greatest disappointment in your life?

The answer will help the interviewer determine how easily you're discouraged. Tell about a personal disappointment if possible. Ex. - Like the death of a parent, child, school friend. It's okay to have a 'greatest disappointment'.

Do you prefer to work independently or with a team?

The employer asking you this question would just like to be informed if you like working by yourself or if you're a team player. Ex. - You could say something like "I'm equally comfortable working as a member of a team and independently. When working with a team, I won't let other people slack off and get the credit for the work, but I won't be too pushy and I will accomplish my share of the project."

If people who know you were asked why you should be hired here, what would their answer be?

The person interviewing you wants to know what your perception is of what other think about your qualifications, abilities, and personality. Ex. - "if you asked my friends why I should be hired, they'd probably tell you that I'm qualified and I acquire the skills outlined in the job description. Also, I bring ___ years of experience. I'm also hard working, professional, trusted, and a team player when I need to be."

What type of work environment do you prefer?

When you're being asked about work environments, your best bet is to say you're flexible, or something along those lines, because at this stage in the interview process, you don't know what it'll be like working for this company. Ex. - "I can be flexible when it comes to my work environment. I can adapt to whatever the environment shall be."

How do you handle stress/pressure?

"I react to certain situations, rather than to stress. That way, the situation is handled and doesn't become stressful." "I actually work better under pressure and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging work environment."

As a student artist athlete at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD and a Collegiate golfer. At SCAD I am pursuing both my passions art and golf. My love for art, also started at a young age. I have always had an interest in working in the TV and movie entertainment industry. After being highlighted on the Golf Channel "Shot of the Day" at Pebble Beach I saw how visual production is used at the Golf Channel. The Golf Channel exposure increased my passion for expressing artistic creativity through post-production video editing, composting, and 3D modeling. Golf and Data Media is in my DNA and I want to Make the Magic Happen!!!

I know the Golf Channel is the perfect work environment for me because playing competitive golf gave me a platform to inspire young kids as their role model and my success and hard work showed them that they could do anything by never giving up, setting specific goals, and to never stop dreaming. In a sense, Golf Channel does the same for me.
