Three Pilgrimage Festivals

known as the Shalosh Regalim, are three major festivals in Judaism — Pesach (Passover), Shavuot (Weeks), and Sukkot (Tents or Booths) — when the Israelites living in ancient Israel and Judea would make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, as commanded by the Torah. In Jerusalem, they would participate in festivities and ritual worship in conjunction with the services of the kohanim ("priests") at the Temple in Jerusalem.

Seder meal

Romans in 70 ad

the attackers had breached Jerusalem's outer walls and began a systematic ransacking of the city. The assault culminated in the burning and destruction of the Temple that served as the center of Judaism. In victory, slaughtered thousands. Of those sparred from death: thousands more were enslaved and sent to toil in the mines of Egypt, others were dispersed to arenas throughout the Empire to be butchered for the amusement of the public. The Temple's sacred relics were taken to Rome where they were displayed in celebration of the victory.

The escape of the ancient Hebrews into slavery in Egypt, around 1250 BCE, led by moses to the Promised Land.
