Victim

A person who has either suffered death or serious physical or mental suffering, or loss of property resulting from actual or attempted by criminal others

Defendant

The person against whom a criminal complaint or indictment is filed: the accused

expert witness

The person who has special and skills recognized by the court and relevant to the determination of guilt or innocence; unlike lay Witnesses expert Witnesses May Express opinions or draw conclusions with their testimony
