Track Changes

A Review menu option that marks changes made in a document so that you or another user then can review the changes, and then accept or reject them.

Formatting symbol

A hidden character that indicates formatting within a document such as an indentation, space, or carriage return.

Clipboard

A list of all items copied to the Clipboard. it is located at the Home tab which consists of the Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste Special, and Format Painter commands.

Column break

A mark to indicate where text ends in one column and begins in the next column.

Comment

A note about specific content within a document.

A set of font and paragraph properties of an entire document.

Format Painter

A tool that enables you to apply formatting of selected content to other content in a document.

A unique set of colors, fonts, and effects that can be applied to a document.

Paste Special

Adds the most recently copied content with specific paste parameters to your document.

Adds the most recently placed content on the Clipboard to your document.

Column

Edge-to-edge spacing for text and other content that appears on a document page. The default setting is one column, but you can apply multiple columns.

Copy

Moves a copy of a selection of content to the Clipboard for pasting somewhere else later.

Lorem Ipsum

Placeholder text used to illustrate the form of the document without real content. Enter =lorem() to insert five paragraphs of nonsense text with varying sentence lengths.

cut

Removes a selection of content and transfers it to the Clipboard for pasting later.

replace

Search for text and replace it with something else.

Styles

Specific text formatting that can be applied to individual paragraphs, titles, headings, lists, and other text
