FJUAB

Forwarding Link 16 Unit that also operates on Link 11 and Link 11B, and forwards all information between all the links.

What is the difference between FTD and LTD

Full Transmission of Data provides for the automatic reporting of ALL tracks and information. Limited Transmission of Data allows to inhibit the transmission of local, air, surface, and subsurface tracks until dual designations can be resolved.

Which organizations execute the war fighting functions in a Joint Task Force?

Functional Component Commanders

What happens when the picket doesn't respond to the first poll it receives from the DNCS?

If no response within 190 msec, the DNCS will poll that platform again with another 190 msec. If no response, the DNCS will move to the next platform.

What is the relationship between the JDN and CTP

JDN is structured and managed within each echelon of the JTF in order to produce the best possible CTP.

PLANNING FUNCTIONS include: Obtain JFC, JFACC, AADC, JDNO, and other supported commander's plans and IER's. Identify IU participation. Determine IU voice and data exchange capabilities and limitations. Obtain and analyze hostile force and non combatant information. Develop the Multi-TDL Architecture. Develop and submit an OPTASK LINK message to the appropriate commander. Develop or establish additional guidance for the execution of the MTA. EXECUTION FUNCTIONS: Supervise the JICC Cell. Manage the MTN and associated voice circuits. Assign or designate the RICO and/or SICO duties to IUs as required.
