Text editor:

A text editor is a type of computer program that edits plain text. Such programs are sometimes known as "notepad" software, following the naming of Microsoft Notepad.

Spreadsheet software:

A spreadsheet is a software program you use to easily perform mathematical calculations on statistical data and totaling long columns of numbers or determining percentages and averages. There are other spreadsheet software you can purchase, like Microsoft Excel.

Database:

A database is a data structure that stores organized information. Most databases contain multiple tables, which may each include several different fields. For example, a company database may include tables for products, employees, and financial records.

desktop application:

A desktop application means any software that can be installed on a single computer (laptop or a desktop) and used to perform specific tasks. Some desktop applications can also be used by multiple users in a networked environment.

Function:

A function is a process or a relation that associates each element x of a set X, the domain of the function, to a single element y of another set Y (possibly the same set), the codomain of the function.

License agreement:

A licensing agreement is a legal contract between two parties, known as the licensor and the licensee. In a typical licensing agreement, the licensor grants the licensee the right to produce and sell goods, apply a brand name or trademark, or use patented technology owned by the licensor.

Marketplace:

A marketplace, is a location where people regularly gather for the purchase and sale of provisions, livestock, and other goods. In different parts of the world, a market place may be described as a souk, bazaar, a fixed mercado, or itinerant tianguis, or palengke.

Mobile application:

A mobile application, most commonly referred to as an app, is a type of application software designed to run on a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet computer. Mobile applications frequently serve to provide users with similar services to those accessed on PCs.

Native app:

Productivity application:

A productivity applications are applications used to create and edit documents associated with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and data management. Microsoft popularized the idea of the office-software productivity bundle with its release of Microsoft Office.

Utilities:

A utility company is an organization that maintains the infrastructure for a public service. Public utilities are subject to forms of public control and a regulation ranging from local community-based groups to statewide government monopolies.

Word processing software:

A word processor is a device or computer program that provides for input, editing, formatting and output of text, often with some additional features. Early word processors were stand-alone devices dedicated to the function, but current word processors are word processor programs running on general purpose computers.

Application (app)/Application software:

An application (app), application program or application software is a computer program designed to help people perform an activity. Depending on the activity for which it was designed, an application can manipulate text, numbers, audio, graphics and a combination of these elements.

Augmented reality:

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory.

Cloud app:

CloudApp a cross-platform downloaded desktop client in conjunction with an online storage and sharing platform. CloudApp full and partial screen recordings export to .mp4 format. Full or partial screen image captures export to either JPG or PNG format.

CAD:

Computer-aided design is the use of computers to aid in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications through documentation, and to create a database for manufacturing.

Database software:

Database software is a utility or software program developed to create, edit, store, search, extract, automate, and maintain database files and records. Database software management system (DBMS) helps users to manage data in the form of structured fields, columns, and tables.

Illustration software:

Illustrator allows you to create and edit vector drawings, i.e. graphics defined by mathematical curves and not from pixels, as with traditional images (bitmap formats).

Mobile web application:

Mobile Web applications refer to applications for mobile devices that require only a Web browser to be installed on the device. Mobile Web applications differ from mobile native applications, in that they use Web technologies and are not limited to the underlying platform for deployment.

Presentation software:

Presentation software, or a presentation program, is a desktop- or cloud-based application that allows the user to present information to an audience using a sequence of multimedia formats, such as images, video, audio and text.

Program:

Program is a collection of instructions that can be executed by a computer to perform a specific task. A computer program is usually written by a computer programmer in a programming language.

Software as a Service:

Software as a service is a software licensing and delivery model in which software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted. It is sometimes referred to as "on-demand software", and was formerly referred to as "software plus services" by Microsoft.

Software:

Software is a set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific tasks. Opposite of hardware, which describes the physical aspects of a computer, software is a generic term used to refer to applications, scripts and programs that run on a device.

System software:

System software is a type of computer program that is designed to run a computer's hardware and application programs. If we think of the computer system as a layered model, the system software is the interface between the hardware and user applications.

PDF:

The Portable Document Format is a file format developed by Adobe in 1993 to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.

Clipboard:

The clipboard is a buffer that some operating systems provide for short-term storage and transfer within and between application programs. The clipboard is usually temporary and unnamed, and its contents reside in the computer's RAM. The clipboard is sometimes called the paste buffer.

Operating system:

The software that supports a computer's basic functions, such as scheduling tasks, executing applications, and controlling peripherals.

Format:

The way in which something is arranged or set out.
