-Righteous and divine man who wouldn't die before he sees the messiah (Jesus) He recognizes Jesus as the messiah and is able to die in peace.

Zechariah and Elizabeth

-Righteous older couple whom were the parents of John the Baptist. Elizabeth was barren. -Angel appears says they will have a son, name him John. Says he will be righteous and lead people to the Lord. Zechariah was made mute because he did not believe. When Elizabeth is 6 month pregnant God sends Angel Gabriel into Nazareth of Galilee to Virgin Mary. -Mary and Elizabeth are cousins.
