Special Endorsements Certified Lead-Based Paint Renovation Contractors that perform renovations on target housing or child-occupied facilities are required to hold a certified Lead-Based Paint Renovation (LBPR) Contractor's License. A renovation refers to the modifying of an existing structure (or portion of the structure) that disturbs the painted surface. Renovations do not include minor repairs and maintenance.
