Caps Lock

Capitalizes a series of letters

Delete

Erases text to the right of the insertion point

Backspace

Erases the character to the left of the insertion point

Spacebar

Key used to create a blank space in text, moving to the right one space at a time.

Function Keys

Keys that perform a specific task based on the software being used

Ctrl (Control)

Modifier key can be used alone, or in combination with other keys to do common tasks

Directional Keys

Moves the insertion point in the direction indicated by the arrow on each key.

Tab

Moves the insertion point to a preset position in your document. Used to indent the first line of a paragraph.

Enter

Moves the insertion point to the next line and starts a new line of text

Shift

Used to make capital letters and certain symbols above the number keys
