Types of leave?
Ordinary, Convalescent, Emergency, Delay en route
Delay en route
granted in excess of authorized travel time during movements under orders.
What is PSCA?
Permanent change of station allowance. Get it when PCSing or having TDY got longer than 179 days. Flat rate for ground travel. Hotel. Will buy your plane tickets.
Days of leave per month accrued?
2.5 days per month for a total of 30 days per year.
What is BAS?
Basic allowance for substinence (monthly)
What is BAH?
Basic allowance to find off base housing (monthly)
How many days of leave can be carried over into the next fiscal year?
Cap of 60 days of leave in the bank.
What is CoLA?
Cost of Living Allowance: authorized to defray the average excess costs experienced by members in certain high cost areas. Where the average cost of living exceeds a certain level above the national average.
What is FSA?
Family separation allowance. paid to members who are involuntarily separated from your dependents. extra cost for maintaining two separate quarters.

What is TDYA?
Temporary duty allowance. 1 to 179 days. Will reimburse for flying or driving. Also get a per diem to pay the cost of lodging, meals, etc.
Wat is TLA/TLE?
Temporary lodging allowance and Expense. If going overseas. to help defray the cost of temporary lodging as part of your move between CONUS and OCONUS. If going overseas you can get TLA too.
What is U&EA?
Uniform and Equipment allowance. (initially for officers)

for officers who have flight duties
Ordinary
asking for time off for vacation
Basic Pay
based on grade and time in serivce
What is DLA?
dislocation allowance. provided to partially reimburse a member for expenses associated with relocating their household... they pay you to purchase all incidentals like cleaning supplies etc.
Hazardous pay is for
individuals required to perform dangerous jobs
What is OHA?
member on duty outside the US may receive a housing allowance consisting of the difference between BAH and and the applicable housing cost in that area.
What pay is taxable?
pay is taxable income, allowances are not
Convalescent
sick leave. non-chargable leave.
Emergency Leave
when an individual can give evidence that an emergency exists that granting leave may contribute to alleviation of the emergency. Charged a normal leave. no preplanning required.
