Expelled from school, detention, getting zeros, failing, etc. Like punishment for 1st plagiarism is an automatic zero.

What published works are not copyrighted?

Facts, ideas, words, phrases, concepts, principles, and discoveries are not covered by copyright. For example, you can copy a fact.

First offense is automatic zeros. Secondly, contact parents and in school suspension.

How do you know if something is in the public domain?

If you look at the date, and it says its made before 1923, it will DEFINITELY be in the public domain. OR you can visit the copyright office in Washington D.C. is you live near, in, or planning to go there.
