Insert Table

2 ways to insert a table: 1-Select the slide, select Insert tab, Tables subgroup>table dropdown arrow, select Insert table or Draw table OR 2- Insert Table from Table Icon- From the Title & Content Layout Option: Select slide with Title and Content layout, Select Table icon, In the Insert Table box enter desired Number of Columns, enter desired Number of Rows, select OK

Reuse Slides

Importing previous content into a new presentation and it uses the Keep Source Formatting option to keep the design consistent as well.

In the Layout Contextual Tab, there are tools that allow you to choose where the data is positioned in the cell.

Animated Animals

Navigate to Insert Tab > 3D Models > From Online Sources to peruse Office's library of 3D models. In the dialogue box, click the All Animated Models category. Insert any that catches your eye. There arenovel characters, education-focused examples, realistic animals and many moreto pick from.

Chart Styl

On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Chart. In the Insert Chart dialog box, click the arrows to scroll through the chart types. Select the type of chart that you want and then click OK.

Slide Sorter

Slide Sorter view gives you a view of your slides in thumbnail form. This view makes it easy for you to sort and organize the sequence of your slides as you prepare to print your slides. You can get to Slide Sorter view from the task bar at the bottom of the slide window, or from the View tab on the ribbon.

Legend

The legend of a graph reflects the data displayed in the graph's Y-axis, also called the graph series. This is the data that comes from the columns of the corresponding grid report, and usually represents metrics. A graphlegend generally appears as a box to the right or left of your graph.

Animation Effects

There are 4 types of animation: Entrance Effects, Emphasis Effects, Exit Effects, and Motion Path Effects.

Online Sources

Use online sources for Media & Audio. If you do research to gather information for presentations, you'll want to check out a new feature, Smart Lookup. It lets you do online research from right within PowerPoint while you're working on a presentation, so there's no need to fire up your browser, search the web, and then copy the information to your presentation. To use Smart Lookup in PowerPoint or any other Microsoft 365/Office 365 app, you might first need to enable Microsoft's intelligent services feature, which collects your search terms and some content from your presentations and other documents.

Reuse Slides

You can add one or more slides to your presentation from another, without having to open the other file. (By default, a copied slide inherits the design of the slide you're inserting it after in the destination presentation. However, you can choose to keep the formatting of the slide you're copying instead.)

WordArt

a gallery of styles that you can add to your PP slides to create decorative effects. Select Insert Tab>Text subgroup, and then select the WordArt dropdown arrow.

Animation Pane

a great place to edit the timeline of animations on a slide or reorder an animation. It is located in the Advanced Animationsubgroup.

Zoom -

a new feature in Power Point that allows a presenter to navigate through a presentation in a non-linear way (jumping from 1 slide to another). It is found in the Insert tab>Links subgroup, the Zoom icon dropdown arrow offers 3 choices: Summary Zoom, Section Zoom, Slide Zoom

Corrections

adjusting the brightness, contrast, or sharpness of a picture you have inserted into your PP presentations. Once you put the image in your slide, the picture tools contextual tab will open and allows you to apply one or more effects.

Motion Path

allows you to create a track that the text or objects travel. There are 60 options divided into three categories: Basic, Lines and Curves, and Special.

SmartArt

allows you to diagram content & graphics on slides and is one of PowerPoint's most powerful graphic features. It also enables you to reconfigure a bulleted list into a diagram with connecting shapes.

Photo Album

anew feature that allows you to create a presentation from your favorite photographs.

Action Buttons

built-in shapes you can add to a presentation and set to link to another slide, play a sound, or perform a similar action

Artistic Effect

change the appearance of an image by attempting to mimic art media like paint or pencil, add texture (e.g., cement), or create other changes like blurring. Select the picture. Select Picture Format>Adjust Subgroup,> Artistic Effects dropdown menu to select your choices.

Duplicate Slide

click on New Slide dropdown arrow, right click on the slide, select Duplicate slide

Contrast -

created by having different object shapes, object sizes, font types, font sizes, alignment, etc. Theprinciple of contrast is dependent upon the surrounding elements being noticeably different from the focal point. It is located in the Picture tools Contextual Tab.

Slide Zoom

creates a link to a particular slide and allows you to move freely to a slide in any order.

Section Zoom

creates a link to a section. It allows you to jump to a section and then return to Section Zoom.

Section

designed to be used with large presentations that contain a large number of slides thatcan easily be grouped into logical groupings.

Slide from Outline

if you have an outline of your content created in another file format such as an .rtf & want to add this content to your presentation, select the Slides from Outline option. Then navigate to the desired file & insert the content.

Background

images or design elements that are placed on your slides behind whatever text, charts, images, or other objects you are presenting. In short, it is the presentation background that you use to build all of your slides.

Text Fill

it is the interior of the letters in WordArt text or text on a PowerPoint slide. Select the text>ShapeFormat Tab>WordArt Styles Subgroup

Transform -

lets users of Word on the web turn a text-based document into a PowerPoint presentation with adesign theme. Users need to open a Word document to convert the file into a PP presentation. After selecting Transform, Word users need to select a design theme for the presentation and then review the outcome in PowerPoint for the web. The new PowerPoint slides will be stored in the OneDrive folder of the user.

Group Images

lets you rotate, flip, move, or resize all shapes or objects at the same time as though theywere a single shape or object. You can also change the attributes of all of the shapes in a group at one time, such as adding a shape fill or effect, or an effect to a picture.

Non-Linear

moving through a presentation by going from one slide to another in any order. Zoom allows you to move forward in a non-linear manner.

Bevel -

preset boarder choice. To access it, select the picture, right click, select Format

3D Model

preset models available in PP 2019 located in the SmartArt Tools tab, Design tab & click on the More dropdown arrow of the SmartArt Styles subgroup to see the 3-D preset designs and select the style of your choice. You can rotate and view 3D images from all angles in the Illustrations subgroup.

Shape

provide a graphical illustration of an idea to better help the audience understand your content.Insert Tab>Illustrations Subgroup>Shape drop down menu

Summary Zoom

summarizes the presentation in one slide.

Case - t

the Case button (Aa) is located in the Home Tab> in the Font subgroup select the Aa or More button in the Font subgroup to open up a dialog box with various options

Transparency

the act of taking a premade picture and altering it so it seems less bright, almost see-through.

Footers

the bottom margin of each page and is useful for including material that you want to appear on every page of a document such as your name, the title of the document, or page numbers.

Chart Type

the design of your chart. It can easily be changed by selecting the chart you want to change and navigate to the Design Tab, and in the Change Chart Type subgroup, select another chart style option.

Headers

the top margin of each page and is useful for including material that you want to appear on every page of a document such as your name, the title of the document, or page numbers.

Transitions

the way you move from one slide to the next. Click on the Transitions Tab in the Ribbon to access the various features that Power Point offers. There are almost 40 types of transitions.

Effect Options

there are around 50 Effect Options which vary according to the transition chosen for the slide or slides.

Text Effec

this icon can create a visual impact with Shadow, Fill, and Outline properties. Access by selectingHome Tab>Drawing Subgroup>and select Shape Fill, Shape Outline, or Shape Effects.

Chart Elemen

to modify a Chart Element: Select Chart, Select design, in the chart Layout subgroup, select the Add Chart Element dropdown arrow, select Data Table, select With Legend Keys.

Loop

used to automatically & continuously play audio or move through the slides in a presentation. View material

used to blend cells together. In the Layout Contextual Tab, there are tools to merge & split cells

used to create a visual image using a chart to illustrate a relationship or comparison among data by using rows & columns of data to plot a chart.

Audio Tools

used to record and insert in a PP presentation. Located in the Insert Tab, Media Subgroup, you can insert a audio clip from the selections.

Video Tools

used to record and insert in a PP presentation. Located in the Insert Tab, Media Subgroup, you can insert a video from the selections.

Screensho

useful for capturing snapshots of programs or windows that you have open on your computer. InsertTab>Images Subgroup dropdown >Screen Shot from drop down menu

Caption

you can add closed captions or subtitles to videos and audio files in your presentations. Adding closed captions makes your presentation accessible to a larger audience, including people with hearing disabilities and those who speak languages other than the one in your video.

Animation

you can animate text or objects such as clipart, images, and shapes in a variety of ways. Use of animations can increase the impact of the information on the slide/slides.

Character Spacing

you can change the spacing by going to Home Tab>Font subgroup>AV dropdown and make your selections.

Trim Video

you can trim away unwanted content at the beginning or end of the clip, or both. You can only trim videos that you've inserted from your computer. This feature isn't available for videos inserted from the web.
