Multiple Choice Questions

Closed ended questions that ask the respondent to choose among several answers

Scaling Questions

Normally refer to procedures for the assignment of numerical measures to subjective concepts such as attitudes, opinions and feelings.

Closed Questions

questions a person must answer by choosing from a limited, predetermined set of responses

Open-ended Questions

questions that allow respondents to answer however they want

Dichotomous Questions

questions that have only two possible choices; for example, "Have you shopped here before?"
