Legal Description

A description of a specific parcel of real estate complete enough for an independent surveyor to locate and identify it. A less precise analysis, found in the improvement location certificate (ILC), may be used. The legal description must be included by reference or transcribed exactly as written to avoid future problems over incorrect boundaries.
