Obando Fertility Dance

During this festival, devotees from all over the country dance their way to find a lover or be rewarded with a child on the feast days of San Pascual Baylon, Sta. Clara de Asis, and La Concepcion de Nuestra known as Virgen de Salambao every May 17 to 19.

Mango Festival

During this festival, there is a spectacular display of local food that mainly features "Zambales Mangoes", which are rated in the Guinness Book of Records as "The sweetest Mangoes in the World". There are street dancing and many competitions such as sand castle building and such.

Zoocobia Fun Zoo

It is a 50-hectare zoo and theme park. It has a labyrinth and garden maze full of animal topiaries on its way out. It has a unique gallery of stuffed real animals preserved by their expert taxidermist. Its most popular feature is called Zooc, the first and only gravity car track in the Philippines that is patterned after the Skyline Luge in Singapore's Sentosa Island.

Belenismo Festival

It is a belen making contest, which is participated by establishments and residents in Tarlac. Giant versions of the belen with different themes are displayed in front of the establishments and roads of Tarlac for the rest of the Christmas season. Hence, Tarlac is dubbed as the "Belen Capital of the Philippines".

St. Claire Monastery

It is a contemplative community of Poor Claire sisters from Cabuyao, Laguna established in 1991 and is now open to the public.

Anawangin Cove

It is a crescent shaped cove with a pristine white sand beach. But the most surprising phenomenon that has occurred in the past years was the growth of the pine trees just behind the banks of the cove. The seeds were brought there by the memorable eruption of Mount Pinatubo together with ash fall.

Pancit Batil Patung

It is a delicacy composed of two (2) parts: the noodles with toppings and the sauce that looks like an egg drop soup.

Sisig

It is a dish made of boiled pork's snout, brain, ears, and liver. The word 'sisig' is a Kampampangan term meaning 'to snack on something sour', hence the dish is seasoned with vinegar, calamansi juice, chopped onions and chicken liver and is normally served on a sizzling plate seasoned with calamansi and chili peppers.

Ginataang Alimasag

It is a dish made of garlic, onions, spinach leaves, crabs, and coconut milk. It is vastly popular in Batanes.

Ruins of Songsong

It is a ghost barangay. It is a cluster of roofless shells of old stone houses abandoned after a tidal wave that hit the island of Batan in the 1950s. It has a long stretch of beach.

Chicharon

It is a local delicacy made of crispy fried pork rind. The native spelling is tsitsaron, which is derived from the Spanish word chihcarron.

Biak-na-Bato

It is a national park as declared by President Manuel L. Quezon in 1937. Filipino revolutionaries such as Emilio Aguinaldo used the numerous caves of Biak na Bato as refuge when they fought against the Spaniards.

El Kabayo

It is a replica of an old Western town directly out of an American cowboy movie. It is complete with mockup recreations of old Western establishments such as a saloon and a telegraph office. Other activities available are riding lessons, adventure and scenic trail rides, carriage tours, photo opportunities, and shopping.

Imugan Waterfalls

It is a two (2) level falls with shallow catch basin. Tourists trek over streams/rivers emanating from the falls. They can also enjoy swimming, fishing, and cultural immersion. Also within the area is the Imugan Mountain Fresh Factory that utilizes wild berries and other fruits to produce spreads and jams while visitors can watch the production process and shop for preserved fruit spreads.

Banga Festival

It is a weeklong event celebrated in Balanga City to remind the Balangueños of their humble beginnings. It is said that the name Balanga, which is the capital of Bataan, came from the word banga, the tagalog term for a pot used in cooking.

Bataan Technology Park

It is a world-class research facility for technology and applied sciences among a rich cultural display of religions and history. This site is like a mini-tour through Indo-China since this was the temporary home of Vietnamese refugees who fled iron-fist rule in their country. Here, tourists get to see the Vietnamese Monument, Buddhist Temples, Angkor Wat, and a Refugee Boat, among others.

Mount Pinatubo

It is an active volcano in Luzon strategically located in the borders of Zambales, Tarlac, and Pampanga. Its volcanic eruption in 1991 made a big impact in the Philippines' history with regards to natural calamity. It can be accessed by hiring a local tour guide to go on a five-mile hike to this active volcano's top. The tour usually begins with a drive to the base of the mountain. During the trek to the top, rivers, streams, jungles, and rocks will be passed by.

Philippine International Hot Air Balloon

It is an annual event that occurs between January and February at the Omni Aviation Complex in Clark Field, Angeles City. It features multicolored hot air balloons with more than a hundred balloon pilots from around the world. This hot air balloon event is the biggest aviation sports event in the Philippines.

Pulilan Carabao Festival

It is an annual festival featuring hundreds of water buffaloes (carabao) parading along the streets of Pulilan followed by a throng of colorful floats and farming machines - all celebrating the feat of their patron saint, San Isidro de Labrador.

Giant Parol Festival

It is an annual festival held on a Saturday before Christmas Eve in the City of San Fernando. It features a competition of giant lanterns. Due to its popularity, the city has been nicknamed the "Christmas Capital of the Philippines".

Pastores Festival

It is celebrated in honor of the miraculous patron saint, Nuestra Senora dela Virgen Divina Pastora. The event features colorful and vibrant street performances.

Salang Beach

It is considered as the "Birthplace of Surfing in the Philippines". It is home to numerous resorts like Bay's Inn Resort, Baler Guesthouse and Restaurant, and MIA Surf and Sports Resort. The beach's waters are relatively calm from March until June, but they transform to large, powerful waves that are perfect for surfing from October to February.

Palaui Island

It is situated on the northeastern tip of Luzon, specifically in the municipality of Santa Ana, where Survivor: Blood versus Water, and Survivor: Cagayan, were filmed in 2013. The most interesting thing to see In Palaui Island is the Cape Engano Lighthouse, which is an exciting trek away from Engano Cove.

Capisaan Cave System

It is the 5th longest cave in the country at 42 kilometers. It has layers of cave network with rare calcite formations and a subterranean river that doubles as a passageway to the best part of the cave.

Ramon Magsaysay Ancestral House

It is the ancestral house of the seventh Philippine President Ramon Magsaysay, which is open for public viewing. With traces of the past, this structure houses some of the personal belongings of the late president, from his furniture, appliances, clothing, medallions, and books, to his 1945 Cadillac limousine, and a Willy's Jeep, which is said to be in good running condition.

Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park (NSMNP)

It is the largest protected area in the country and is a low altitude rainforest at 800 feet above sea level. The area is about 359,477 hectares and is rated #1 in the world's biodiversity. It is ideal for marine and outdoor adventure where people trek its mountains to reach the coastal areas.

Malatarlak Festival

It takes its name from a variety of grass that is native to the Luzon area. This event is celebrated with sumptuous pageantry that is characterized by schoolchildren dressed in grass-inspired costumes, who dance to the beat of traditional music.

Kulay Festival

Kulay translates to "anything dried". This festival highlights the simple yet colorful food heritage of the Ivatans. It is a 5-day feast where locals introduce their manufactured and processed food products such as dried products, onion, garlic, rice, corn, fish and among others to local and foreign tourists visiting their province.

Pagayaya Festival

Pagayaya means "merrymaking and joyous gathering". This festival features proud products of the Cagayan Valley Region wherein provinces show case their culture, crafts, and cuisine. There are also booths that feature souvenir items, toys, houseware, processed and fresh fruits, vegetables, and signature designs of furniture.

Pammadayaw Festival

Pammadayaw translates to "honor". This festival is a celebration that inspires those who are productive and achievers in any field of expertise and vocation through recognition and giving honors. It is celebrated from July 1 to 3 every year.

Payuhwan Festival

Payuhwan translates to "cooperation", which is truly evident in this 5-day event every June. During this festival, a province-wide procession is done to recall the route of evangelization. Communities and schools conduct the Ivatan Olympics to pay tribute to their native game. They also conduct Kanan Nu Kumavahayan or the Unity Lunch, a government funded meal for everyone.

Potipot Island

Potipot translates to "small white island". It boasts of lush array of coconut, mango, kamachile and talisay trees, coral shells, hermits' crabs, starfishes, and the most spectacular sunsets ever witnessed in this side of town along a white sand shore.

Sibit-Sibit Summer Festival

The name Sibit-Sibit was derived from the name of small paddle-driven bancas used for fishing during the early days when Brgy. Barreto was yet called Sitio Maquinaya. The festival features competition which includes motorized banca and sail boat race.

Pandawan Festival

The word Pandaw means "assurance of an abundant fresh-water catch", which is what they celebrate. It features street dancing, trade fair, and local competitions.

Camalaniugan Bell

This bell was forged in1596 and considered one (1) of the oldest of its kind in the Philippines. It was brought to Manila in 1987 as one (1) of the attractions during the 33rd Eucharistic Congress of the Catholic Church.

San Jose Church

This church has a crenellated fortress-like campanile and was built in 1814. It faces the Ivana Seaport.

Pancit Cabagan

This dish uses a pansit miki, which is thinner than Pancit Batil Patung. Its main ingredients are lechon carahay, itlog ng pugo, and mixed vegetables. It goes with a dark broth soup of the cabagan with egg.

Aurora Surfing Cup

This event is held every February which through the years, has established a steady following of local and international surfing enthusiasts. The province boasts of internationally recognized surf sites such as Sabang Beach (beach break), Cemento Beach (reef break), and Charlie's Point (river mouth break). The best waves in these areas come around October to March.

Ostrich Farm

This farm features ostrich production from breeding to meat production. This ostrich production is considered the first in Central Luzon.

Kalanguya Festival

This festival aims to conserve, preserve, and protect the almost-forgotten Kalanguya (indigenous tribe name in Nueva Vizcaya) cultural heritage, especially to the younger generation, amidst modernization and high technology.

Citrus Festival

This festival is celebrated by farmers in the town of Kasibu as thanksgiving offering for the bountiful blessings they receive. In this event, the Ifugaos perform the "Culpi", a way of thanksgiving to Kabunian or Supreme Being where a number of pigs and chickens are offered. Ifugaos bang their gongs as they parade around the village garbed in their native G-strings. There are also thousands of oranges displayed in booths while some are given to visitors for free.

Ginnamuluan Festival

This festival is celebrated for all desirable, admirable traits, characteristics, and virtues of the Filipinos who care for the lives of their families and fellows, and who have that strong, deep concern, care and social awareness for general welfare. This is celebrated every June 19 to 21 every year.

Viray Festival

This festival is held every May 26 to May 30. It is organized by the local government with the support of the regional tourism office and the private sector. This was launched in June 2005 to dramatize the significance of the viray (local name for boat), which played a key role in the lives and history of the town. An annual fluvial parade of colorful boats is held during the first day.

Gakit Festival

This festival is held in Angadanian, Isabela at the Cagayan River, which is done to remind Angadanians of their cultural tradition of resourcefulness and self-reliance. During this festival, the townspeople offer fruits, vegetables, poultry, and livestock as thanksgiving for their abundant bounty. This practice reminds Angadanians of their tradition of planting crops and raising poultry in their backyard. They believe that this will reduce the people's reliance on others and will inculcate resourcefulness in every one Angadanian.

Panagdadapun Festival

This festival showcases the unique culture and convergence of all tribes and the colorful history of the province. It is celebrated every month of September, which coincides with Quirino Foundation Day.

Millennium Tree

This is a 600-year-old balete tree and is located inside Balete Park. Because of its age, it has been designated as the official "Millennium Tree" of the Philippines. Aside from having an impressive age, the tree also stands out because it's one (1) of the biggest of its kind in the entire Asia.

Bringhe

This is a delicacy that originated from Pampanga and is a Filipino version of the Spanish Paella. It is traditionally made with glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk and turmeric powder for distinct flavor and color. A smorgasbord of chicken, chorizo de bilbao, bell peppers, carrots, and raisins are traditional additions as well as boiled eggs for garnish.

Tocino

This is a dish made of cured pork that has been marinated in a sweet red sauce.

Gabaldon Falls

This is a waterfall surrounded by green foliage and huge rocks. The bursting sound of its cool and refreshing water breaks the serenity of its environs. It is perfect for group picnics and adventure.

Pawikan Festival

This is a weeklong celebration highlighted by a ceremonial releasing of Pawikan hatchlings in the blue waters off South China Sea. It features street dancing competition where participants are dressed gaudily in turtle-like clothing, walk for a cause, trade fair, beach volleyball, graffiti painting contest, sand castling contest, coastal clean-up project, seminars, and other activities.

Marlboro Hills

This is also known as Racuh Apayaman or Marlbory Country. It is where tourists encounter water buffalos or carabaos, horses, and cattle that wander freely as they feed on the common pasture. It is indeed a heavenly place, where the sky, sea water, and hilly land connive to altogether bring forth what seems as a painting come alive.

The Sandbox

This is an outdoor adventure facility situated in Ayala Land's massive Alvierra estate in Porac, Pampanga. Its most unique attraction is Avatar One, the Philippine's first rollercoaster zipline that zigzags through a course that is 180 meters long and 12 meters high. It has other activities such as Giant Swing, Aerial Walk Challenge, Adventure Tower, and other attractions such as ATV rides and outdoor archery.

Cabibi Festival

This is celebrated every August 1 to 4 and held in the town of Lal-lo. It features a lot of merrymaking including street dancing, trade fair, Balikbayan tribute, and many others to offer thanksgiving in honor of their town's patron saint.

Sabutan Festival

This is celebrated every August 24 to 25 in the town of San Luis. It highlights the importance of growing palm trees locally called Sabutan on the community's economic well-being. The exclusive art of weaving Sabutan is handed down from one (1) generation to the other. The festival features native dance presentation among school children, trade fair, cultural shows, and exhibits.

Sarakat Festival

This is held every 14th of May in the town of Sta. Paxedes to promote wares, art pieces, and other products made from sarakat (wild grown plant known as pandanus or screwpine) leaves. Mats, hats, and bags are some products that can be made from sarakat. It features street dancing competitions.

Palu-palo Festival

This is held every 1st week of August and is the time wherein people get to have a glimpse of the rich lands, history, and cuisine of Batanes. However, this is mostly centered on the Ivatans' livelihood and culture. Palu-palo translates to "stick", which is used by the Ivatans in the past to combat their colonizers.

Basco Lighthouse

This is located in Naidi Hills, Barangay San Antonio. It is a 6-floor building with a viewing deck where tourists can see Batan Island, Mount Iraya, Sabtang Island, and Itbayat Island. This area was the telegraph facilities during the American period. Unfortunately, it was bombed by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II. Nonetheless, the few still useful buildings that remained after the war have been converted into business stores.

Cathedral of Tarlac City

This is situated across the city hall of Tarlac where the Revolutionary Congress used to meet during the early times. The beautiful architecture makes it one (1) of the best places to visit in the province.

Saint Dominic Cathedral

This is the first cathedral in Nueva Vizcaya. It was razed by fire twice and rebuilt in the same old site and is now approximately twice its original size. The cathedral maintains the original facade and as such a veritable treasure, a relic of the past for its historic and aesthetic remains of a proud Christian past.

Yaru Nu Artes Ivatan

This is the one and only art gallery in Batanes that can be found in Barangay Kaychanarianan, Basco. It is run by a local artist and owner, Ms. Victoria Abad - Kerblat.

Sabtang Island

This island in the southwest of Batan Island remains undisturbed and unspoiled. It has intermittent white sand beaches, steep mountains, and deep canyons with small level areas sporadically found along the coastline. It is also the take-off point for Ivuhos Island from Barangay Nakanmuan.

Minalungao National Park

This site features a breathtaking view of a narrow deep river that looks up to 16- meter high limestone walls. At the end of the white rock formation, is an enchanting cave that is perfect for trekking activities.

Baler Museum

This site houses several artifacts that are significant to the town's history and give visitors a glimpse into the time when the Philippines was still under the Spanish rule. It also has a collection of several items that were owned by Manuel Quezon as well as memorabilia from Franciscan missionaries who settled into the area during the 1600s.

Pawikan Conservation Center

This site is a joint effort by the Bataan government, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and UNESCO, which was initiated in 1999. Here, the Bantay Pawikan men and volunteers from the local community patrol the beaches at night to guard eggs laid by marine turtles in the beach. These are then carefully transported to the Conservation Center until they are hatched before they are released back to the sea. Here, tourists can learn more about these beautiful and mysterious sea turtles and may release baby sea turtles back into the sea.

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar

This site is a showcase of Filipino history and craftsmanship set in the 18th century Philippines. There are architectural pieces of a bygone era from different parts of the country. It takes pride in giving tourists a glimpse of the past, reliving the age-old yet distinctive Filipino traditions, while providing the luxuries and comforts of contemporary times.

Governors' Rapids

This site is located at Divisoria Sur, Maddela. It is famous for its gigantic perpendicular walls of limestone jutting out from one (1) side of the Cagayan River framing the Sierra Madre Mountain perfect for wall climbing activities. Its swift turbulent deep blue waters is perfect venue for kayaking, Swimming, and fishing. The riverside offers a suitable picnic ground with a magnificent view of the river.

Bonsai Forest

This site is located at Sumanget, Dinapigue and is about 20,000 hectares. The area is accessible by land transport from Baler in Aurora Province and can be seen from the plane when traveling by air to Palawan.

Nantugaw Falls

This site is located in Baguio Village. It is a towering 80-meter-high falls with a stone formation likened to a chair (Nantugaw in Ilocano). Tourists can enjoy swimming while communing with nature in the surrounding forest and fish sanctuary, and trek and pass through a canopy of bamboos and rivers and streams.

The Royal Northwoods Golf Club

This site is located in the rice field confines in the quiet town of San Rafael, Bulacan. This was a project conceptualized and built by the Northwoods Realty and Development Corporation. Operation of the golf course first started with only nine (9) holes last 1999. To the acclaim of many, the course then expanded into an 18-hole challenge by the year 2001.

Pinatubo Spa Town

This site offers a range of services, from massage to being buried in volcanic sand. Tourists can even take a shower there for only Php100 if they are not too keen about being pampered.

Aglipay Caves and Campsite

This site offers a series of 38 caves. Seven (7) of which have been developed as tourist spots located in the midst of rolling hills and verdant forest. The caves interlink with each other and run to a depth of about 20 meters.

Radar Tukon

This site was an American weather station on a hilltop. It offers a magnificent 360-degree view of Batan Island, the South China Sea, Mt. Iraya, Basco proper, boulder lined cliffs, and the Pacific Ocean. Presently, it houses the last weather station in the north, the Basco Radar Station and is only 2.75 kilometers from Basco.
