hearing loss can occur even after theraphy is conplete. force fluid up to 3000ml a day. report to dr tinnitus high frequency hearing loss perisitent headache vertigo. watch for superinfection (diarrhea vaginal discharge stomatitis glottitis black hairy tongue loose or foul smelling stools and cough very potent may cause nephrotoxicity

vancomycin

report any change in hearing ringing feeling fulness in ear nuasea vomiting with movement unsteady gait other tingling (iV) chill fever rash monitored serum level to prevent tixicity

dapsone

report tingling of hands or feet dizziness lack of muscle coordination muscle weakness blurred vision tinnitus fatique jaundice rapid hbeat. never double dose to catch up on missed dose. if overdose call poison control

linezolid

take full lenght of treatment avoid tyramine -contained food ( red wine,age cheese) ,report severe abdominal pain fever severe diarrhea or worsenin g of s/s of infection

nitrofurantoin

urine may be dark yellow or brown avoid exposure to sun ultraviolet light photsensitivity call dr if cough fever chest pain difficult breathing numbness /tingling of extremities alopecia are experienced

metronidazole hyrochlorde

urine may be red-brown or dark color aviod alcohol ( cough elixirs ) due to rish for an antoabuse like reation severe vomitng

GENTAMINCIN

aminoglycoside give iv or im use to treat gram--- + bacteria avaible in iv im topical oitments and ophthalmic

fluoroquinlones -norflocacin-ciprofloxacin-levofloxacin mocifloxacin-gatifloxacin and gemifloxacin

avoid exposure to sun anf tanning beds use sun glass and sun screen. report s/s dizziness restlessness stomach distress diarrhea unusual emontional behavior confusion and irregular rapid hbeat. drug interaction between antibiotic and warfarin need to a frequent inr very potent bactericidal broad spectrum

clindamycin

avoid use around eyes of near abraided area. vaginal dose avoid sex until therapy is complete
