After the cold war Ronald Reagan Revived the spirit of most Americans. He was always very committed to his promise to the US.

During the assassination attempt one police officer was shot in the neck. James Brady the white house press secretary was shot in the head. Then his secret service agent Tim McCarthy was also shot becoming 1 of 2 agents to ever take a bullet for the president.

The last bullet struck through the car door, and entered the presidents body. Through his left under arm the bullet ripped through his lung. The bullet came a few inches away from Reagans heart.

When Reagan was president he always kept diaries. Which he wrote in everyday to write down what he needs to do to help the country. It was also one of the best selling books it was called , "The Reagan Diaries ." It was published in May 2007.
